Our Services

Whether you are learning to drive for the first time, in need of a refresher course or want more advanced driving experience we will be able to help. We are based in Stoke-on-Trent, serving the full Stoke-on-Trent/Newcastle-under-Lyme area.

We provide professional, friendly and patient instruction and ensure that each lesson is tailored to your individual needs to enable you to learn quickly and safely.

Beginner Lessons: If you are nervous don't worry! It is common amongst beginners but you will find that once you have driven for the first time your nerves will go. Your lessons will be structured and set at a pace to ensure you develop the skills that are necessary to deal with today's roads and to pass your test. The car is equipped with dual controls for your piece of mind and you have a fully qualified instructor with you to help you along.

Refresher Courses: These courses are for qualified drivers who need to brush up on their driving skills. If you haven't driving for some time or lost confidence due to an accident we will be able to help get you back driving to a high standard. We can tailor these lessons to meet whatever requirements you may have.

Motorway Lessons: This training is for both new and experienced drivers who may have never driven on a motorway or need to brush up on their motorway driving.

Pass Plus: This course is for newly qualified drivers, who will learn to deal with a wide range of traffic and all weather situations. The course will help boost your skills as a driver and make you more aware of hazards and how to deal with them safely. Pass Plus is not a test but is based on continual assessment by your instructor. Pass Plus lasts for a minimum of six hours and can help reduce insurance costs.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you offer discounts?

Yes - please see our Offers  page for details.

How old do I need to be to start driving lessons?

When you are 16 you can send off for your provisional license  - this does not become valid for use until your 17th birthday. However, there is an exception - if you are 16 and in receipt of a mobility allowance you can learn to drive when you are 16. More information can be found here.

How long will it take me to pass my test?

This totally depends upon the number of lessons you have each week and how you progress in each lesson. We usually recommend that you have a two hour driving lesson once per week to ensure that you make good progress. However, we will work around your requirements. Each person learns at their own pace so during your lessons it can be assessed how you are progressing and an estimate of the number of lessons given.

What does the theory test involve?

The theory test is split into two parts - multiple choice and hazard perception. Both of these are computer based. You need to pass both parts of the test at the same time - if you fail one part and pass the other you will fail the whole test. You cannot apply for the practical test until you have passed your theory test. Once you have passed your theory test it is valid for two years.

The first part of the test consists of 50 multiple choice questions about the Highway Code. You need to get 43 correct answers to pass this part. In the hazard perception part you will be presented with a series of 14 video clips which feature road scenes. In each scene there is at least one developing hazard which you need to identify.
